Berry & Beet Smoothie

Start your Valentine’s Day off right with this beautifully coloured berry and beet smoothie! Adapted from Gazelle Nutrition, we’ve modified the recipe to include roughly the same amount of iron as a 3-4 oz serving of red meat. We love it because it’s made with no added sugar, and the colour means it’s packed full of antioxidants. Simply pop all the ingredients into a blender and serve to your loved ones!

Makes 2 cups

Ingredients

1 sprig fresh mint

½ cup frozen beetroot

1 medium banana

½ cup firm tofu

½ cup frozen strawberries

½ cup Lucky Iron Fish water

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend gently until mixed and then on high speed until well blended. Serve immediately.
