Miijidaa Cafe + Bistro Donates Lucky Iron Fish to Northern Canadian Communities

Our friends at Miijidaa Cafe + Bistro aren't your average restaurant, they're also a fellow B Corporation committed to sustainable operations and effective initiatives! As an element of our ongoing partnership with them, they donate $1 of the proceeds from their 3 Sisters Ragout menu item to provide Lucky Iron Fish to communities in Northern Canada.

The results are in from 2017, and we’re happy to announce that $1300 is being donated on behalf of Miijidaa in the form of 200 Lucky Iron Fish. These Lucky Iron Fish will be distributed to families through an amazing Canadian organization:

The Weeneebayko Area Health Authority is a regional, community-focused organization committed to providing optimum health care as close to home as possible. They serve remote communities along James Bay including Moose Factory, Moosonee, Attawapiskat, Kashechewan, Fort Albany, and Peawanuck.

This partnership is extremely valued by Lucky Iron Fish Enterprise (LIFE) and Miijidaa because the association is administered and monitored by dieticians who will provide proper instructions and follow up with the individuals in these remote communities where the Fish are distributed.

You can try making our tasty 3 Sisters Ragout at home with this recipe, or pop into Miijidaa Cafe + Bistro to enjoy your own warm bowl without the leg work!
