Ingredients
1
orange peeled, cut into segments
3
granny smith apples, cut into quarters
3
honeycrisp apples, cut into quarters
½
teaspoon ground cloves
¼
teaspoon nutmeg
4
cinnamon sticks (or ½ tbsp. ground)
2
star anise
1-2 tablespoons honey
8
cups water
2-3 drops of lemon juice
Lucky Iron Fish
Directions
- Place all the ingredients, except the Lucky Iron Fish and lemon, in a pot.
- Cover the ingredients with the water.
- Simmer, covered, on a low stove for 2 hours.
- Remove cinnamon sticks and mash up fruit.
- Simmer for 30 more minutes.
- Strain to remove the fruit.
- Add the Lucky Iron Fish and lemon juice to the cider.
- Boil for 10 minutes.
- Remove Lucky Iron Fish and serve cider warm.
